Abstract

The criteria according to which workers should be employed at working places with excessive exposure to noise are discussed and it is pointed out that each worker should undergo an otorhinolaryngological and audiological examination before starting to work under such conditions. The examination of all workers at endangered working places should be repeated after six months. At this control examination the audiogram must not deviate more than 10 dB from the value shown at the first examination.
