Abstract
Chromosome analysis of a lymphocite culture was clone using the Moorhead's technique. Citogenetic findings in persons occupationally exposed to ionizing radiation were compared with those of subjects who have never handled radiation sources nor have been irradiated for diagnostic purposes in the last six months. The results show that predominant types of lesions in the exposed group were choromosome breaks, accentric or bicentric chromosomes and polyploidies. Compared with the control group the rate and the type of chromosomal changes in exposed subjects were significantly different.
