Use of multicriterial analysis in the selection of sewer pipe remediation methods

Abstract

The level of completion of sewerage network in the City of Zagreb is presented. It is emphasized that the rehabilitation or remediation activities in most cases consist in the replacement of the old sewer mains. Most common types and causes of damage to sewer pipes are described, and remediation methods are presented. The use of multicriterial analysis is explained and the criteria used in the analysis are given. Results are presented through two examples of sewer main remediation in Zagreb.
