Abstract

Identification of the adult forms of species subfamily Meligethinae and their dominance in Croatia was based on morphometric characters and on differences in male and female genitalia. Samples were collected during the 2013 year (developmental stages of rapeseed BBCH 50-55) at 19 sites in seven counties. The following species were identified: Brassicogethes aeneus (Fabricius 1775), Brassicogethes viridescens (Fabricius 1787), Brassicogethes coracinus (Sturm 1845), Clypeogethes lepidii (Miller 1851) and Fabogethes nigrescens (Stephens 1830). Data on the quantitative ratio of these species showed that B. aeneus was eudominant species. The diversity of species and their quantitative ratios have an important role in the study of pollen beetle resistance because different species indicate different sensitivities to pyrethroids.
