Abstract

Field trial was conducted in 2013 in maize at the Šašinovečki Lug to establish efficacy of herbicide topramezone using recommended dose and reduced doses of topramazone (2/3, 1/2 , 1/4 i 1/8). Only reduced doses were combined with three different adjuvants: nonionic surfactant - NIS (Break thru), concentrated vegetable oil – COC (White oil) and modified vegetable oils - MSO (Dash HC). In this study percentage of damage or efficacy of topramezone was observed on two weed species Chenopodium album L. and Echinochloa crus-gali L. Results indicate that application of reduced topramezone doses with proper type of adjuvant is effective on investigated weed species. Chenopodium album was equally controlled (91, % -99,1 %) with all reduced topramezone rates when applied with MSO. Echinochloa crus -galli control was influenced by type of adjuvant added to topramezone, but only when 2/3 topramezone rate was applied with MSO (93,3 %) good efficacy was achieved.
