Abstract

The strawberry tarsonemid mite, known as strawberry mite, Phytonemus pallidus, and two-spotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae, from the family Tetranychidae, are important pests of strawberry. High population of mites both species can significantly reduce strawberries crop and adversely affect to the crop next year. In the control of these pests biological control are recommended and in the case of strawberry mite by following good cultural practices.
Good results in the decrease population of Phytonemus pallidus give Neoseulus cucumeris, but Neosseulus californicus may provide control of Tetranychus urticae.
