Abstract

In our environmental conditions gray mold or fruit rot is the most common and most important disease on strawberries. The cause of this disease is a fungus Botrytis cinerea. Symptoms of the disease can occur in the form of grayish-brown mycelium on fruits. In case of high disease pressure, favorable climatic conditions (high humidity and lower temperatures) and inadequate protection, the disease can completely destroy the fruits of strawberries. For disease control in Croatia are registered the following fungicides: pyrimethanil, fenhexamid, pyraclostrobin and boscalid and fludioxonil and cyprodinil.
