Flies the pests of tomato

Abstract
Dangerous pests of tomato presents every where tomato is breeding, belongs to fam. Agromyzydae leaf miners from genus Phytomyza (Chromatomya) i Liriomyza. Damage caused their larvae, by living and feeding, beetwen two epidermal surface of leaves. Every species makes a specific shape of mines. According the shape of mines it is possiblle to distinguished which species caused damage. Leaf miner Phytomyza (Chromatomya) horticola is indigenous well known species in Croatia. Species L. trifolii was introduced in Croatia long time ago, in 1977 on gerbera seedlings, and since then become domesticated species. Depending on intenzity of infestation, dried leaves remain hanging on plants.
Dark -winged fungus gnats (Sciaridae) are present in fauna everywhere in nature where organic material is decomposed. They are normally present in compost and substratum for breeding of seedlings. They are usualy present in greenhouses if microclimatic conditions suitte their development. The most severe damage is caused on young seedlings, although damage can be caused during the vegetation due to technological mistakes during production.
