Abstract

Downy mildew is the most common disease of tomatoes in Croatia. This article describes the significance of the disease, its symptoms, and biology of the causal agent. Also, emphasis is given on discussing the appearance of mating type A2 in Europe and the possible consequences. The article concludes with the proposed control measures and provides the list of fungicides registered in Croatia for controlling this disease in tomatoes.
