Abstract

Verticillium wilt (Verticillium dahliae) and anthracnose (Colletotrichum spp.) can be regarded as the most important olive diseases in the world. Symptomatology of these diseases is briefly described, biology of the causal agents, significance and distribution are discussed, and a short review of control measures is given.
