Abstract

Woolly whitefly, Aleurothrixus floccosus, is a serious citrus pest in Mediterranean countries. The first record of A. floccosus in Croatia, on lemon trees, has been recorded during April 2007 in place Razanj (43°30N, 15°58'E), near town of Trogir. Based on occasional assessments of lemon leaf samples, 2007 - 2012, its persistent presence was found in the area surrounding Trogir. As this is a relatively new member of our entomophauna, the paper presents the morphological and biological characteristics of species and the possibility of suppression.
