Abstract

Early blight of potato is frequent and economically important potato disease, sometimes even more significant than late blight. Disease is caused by fungus Alternaria solani, but in some parts of the world Alternaria alternata is also mentioned. Characteristic disease symptoms are dark, brown to black spots in concentric rings. Fungicides registered for management of early blight of potato in Croatia are: boscalid + pyraclostrobin, cymoxanil + propineb, dimethomorph + mancozeb, iprovalicarb+propineb, metiram, propineb, difenoconazole, azoxystrobin, chlortalonil and copper fungicides.
