Potato wart [Synchytrium endobioticum (Schilb.) Perc.]

Abstract

Potato wart, caused by the fungus Synchytrium endobioticum, is a quarantine disease not present in Croatia. Biology of the causal agent is described, significance, geographical distribution and simptomatology of the disease are briefly discussed, and a short review of quarantine measures currently in force is given.
