Abstract

A review of biologic significance of zinc is given. Particular attention is paid to the investigations of its physico-chemical state and interactions of zinc with serum proteins. Metal fume fever and zinc fever is described in details and in the light of recent experimental works and hypotheses on the mechanism of its occurrence.
