The secondary semantic adaptation of Anglicisms in Italian

Abstract

The author discusses changes in meaning which occur at the stage of secondary adaptation of English loan-words in Italian, such as expansion in number, expansion in field, ellipsis, metaphor, metonymy and pejoration.
