Abstract

It has been found that some neuroleptic drugs, which produce strong extrapyramidal symptoms and contain in their molecules either fluorine or chlorine, prolong significantly the life of mice previously intoxicated with botulinum toxin. It is concluded that for their antibotulinum action it is irrelevant whether they contain fluorine or chlorine, but any halogen seems to be sufficient.
