Abstract

The application and mode of action of chelating agents in lead intoxication are dealt with particular reference to the comparative studies of the effect of BAL, EDTA and penicillamine. Data from literature are presented indicating that in the treatment of plumbism penicillamine is the most efficient among chelating agents.
