On Hergešić’s Trail: How to Establish Textual Corpora of Late Croatian Pre-informatical Era?

Abstract
Inspired by Ivo Hergešić’s birth-centennial (1904–1977), author strives to incite attention to some research procedures and accesories that in spite of their potential as a starting point for various scientific approaches are not sufficiently used in Croatian Comparative Literature and other similar fields. The text is based on methodological propositions of Hergešić himself (he is renowned as a founder of Comparative Literature in Croatia) as well as on author’s experience gained during editorial work on Croatian Biographical Lexicon.
