Abstract

The paper presents the procedure of producing geodetic base containing topographic and cadastral plan for land and coast, and the topographic plans for the sea area. Geodetic measurements carried out with two-frequency RTK GPS receiver Thales Z-Max having data recorder Juniper System Alegro and single-frequency ultrasonic echo sounder Ohmex Sonar Mite. The development of GPS-devices and echo-sounders have opened the possibility to perform very demanding measurement tasks at the bottom of water bodies. Modern computer programs allow faster and simpler visualisation of measured data and the production of layered plans, and the three-dimensional terrain presentation. Hydro graphic methods in measurements with GPS-devices and echo-sounders yield cheaper measurement methods form the economic and time-consuming view point, and they provide equal measurement quality, as well as the possibility of repeating the measurements at the same places, providing the monitoring of changes in the course of time.
