Abstract

Three modifications of Creasey-Green's method for determination of oxime content in biological material are described. The study comprised 5 oximes: TMB-4Cl, LüH6-Cl, MMB-1CI, PAM-2CI and MINA. For all the five oximes the modification of Creasey-Green's method in which 2O per cent of sodium hydroxide was substituted for 25 per cent of ammonium hydroxide proved best. In this procedure both the stability of oximes (Table I) and the sensitivity of the method (Table 2) were higher than in the other two modifications. This modification is therefore recommended for use.
