Abstract

Between 2005 and 2013 a number of educational actions were devised in the Ethnographic Museum in Split, their aim being
to encourage children to get to know the traditional heritage, to reflect on its preservation and observe the transformation of
cultural phenomena.
Examples of educational activities carried out in the Ethnographic Museum in Split will show just how and to what extent the
educational activity has become an integral part of the programme policy of the Museum. Presenting culture and society as
a whole, and collecting, documenting and interpreting the heritage to provide endorsement of the culture at the global level,
ethnographic museums are an essential part of a successful educational process.
