Physical principles of neutron interaction with biological tissue

Abstract
The basic properties of neutrons which determine their interaction with the matter, particularly with biological tissue are described. The main processes induced by neutron interaction with the matter are presented. The processes of particular importance for the interaction of neutrons with biological tissue are discussed in detail. The interaction of neutrons of different energies with biological tissue is separately considered and tabulated.
