Serviceability of mailed questionnaires in analyzing causes of labor turnover in an enterprise

Abstract
In order to check the serviceability of the information about real causes of avoidable labor turnover obtained through mailed questionnaires (sent to worker's homes one month after they quitted work at the enterprise) as well as the serviceability of the method of mailed questionnaires the following elements have been examined:
a) percent of responded questionnaires
b) factors influencing responding or non-responding of mailed questionnaires.
It has been shown that 33.55 percent of workers responded to mailed questionnaires. Frequency of responding was mainly connected with the work department (level of significance P < 0.01) and to a certain degree with the level of workers' qualifications (level of significance P < 0.05). Respondents were fully representative of all workers who quitted their job. The method of mailed questionnaires can be consequently usefully applied in determining real causes of overall labor turnover in an enterprise.
