Abstract
This paper presents corrections and reductions of distances measured by electro-optical distance meters to their final value in the plane of the Republic of Croatia cartographic projection – HTRS96/TM. To rely on measurements obtained by electro-optical distance meters it is necessary to test them periodically or optionally before jobs which demand more precise and reliable measurement. For field testing of electro-optical distance meters the International Standard ISO 17123-4:2012 has been adopted, which describes simplified and full test procedure for field testing of the precision, as well as evaluating the uncertainty of measurement. Full test procedure of testing the precision of electro-optically measured distances by geodetic stations Leica TC2003, Leica TCA2003 and Leica TCRP1201 at the calibration baseline of the Faculty of Geodesy, University of Zagreb, is presented thoroughly. For the purpose of automating the field testing procedure, the computer program ISO_DISTANCE has been developed according to Standard ISO 17123-4:2012.
