Abstract

Concentrations of coproporphyrine, deltaaminolevulinic acid and porphobilinogen were determined in the urine of a graup of 100 workers exposed to lead. It was established that deltaaminolevulinic acid and porphobilinogen concentrations grow with the increase of coproporphyrine concentration. Conclusion has been drawn that increased concentrations of deltaaminolevulinic acid and porphobilinogen present a useful additional index for increased lead absorption in the organism.
