On some names of foreign cities and states

Abstract

In the past, some Croatian names of foreign cities or states were rather frequently
used (Jakin for Ancona, Drazdani for Dresden, Mletci for Venice, etc.).
The author discusses the problem of the traditional Slavic and Croatian names
Litva and Letonija for the Baltic states Lithuania and Latvia.
