Components of Roman military equipment from Gardun

Abstract

This work presents components of military equipment found at the Gardun site, the location of a Roman military camp, which are held as part of the Old Collection of the Archeological Museum in Split. The collection is dominated by articles from the first century, when the largest number of soldiers were stationed at the camp, while the smaller number articles from the fourth to sixth centuries testify to the fact that life at that locale continued even into Late Antiquity.
