Abstract
Conventional and organic farming greatly differ in approach, preventive measures and agents used in the cultivation of plants, disease and pest control. One of the measures in the fight against weeds in organic farming is veiling the soil with various materials of organic and inorganic origin. In recent years for this purpose is increasingly used polyethylene film. Which material will be used to cover the soil depends on the crops, climate and especially of material that farm disposes as a by-product (straw, corn stalks, bark etc.).
