Abstract

The author reports the results of the measurements of radiation intensity (in mr/h) to which the roenegenologist and the radiographer are exposed in fluoroscopy of the digestive tract, a) working with full wave and self rectified units, b) examining patients in upright or recumbent position, with and without the use of the protective Forssell chair and the protective cabin. The necessity of using protective appliances, particularly in fluoroscopy of patients in recumbent position is pointed out. The own results are compared with the measurements of others and the influence of some individual habits in fluoroscopy on exposure of the roentgenologest is investigated.
