Abstract
A review of the biochemistry, pharmacology, experimental and clinical toxicology, therapy, and prevention of poisonings due to organophosphorus insecticides. The present-day concepts of the mechanism of the effect of organophosphorus inhibitors on cholinesterase are described more in detail, as well as the investigations in the field of the reactivation of inhibited cholinesterase by nucleophilic reagents.
