Abstract

Two simple instruments and methods for quantitative measurement of air-borne bacteria are described. One is a new type of apparatus named »rotor for solid media« the other is a modification of the bubbler type instrument (Fig. 1-4) Both instruments have considerably lower efficiency than the slit-sampler which was used for comparing their efficiency in collecting air-borne bacteria. However, they can be used with advantage in field work if no electricity or piped water are available.
