Abstract

During 1999. 185 patients with ulcus cruris were examined at the Department of Dermatovenerology, Osijek Clinical Hospital. 72.43% were females and 27.57% males. 137 patients were hospitalized which is 26,39% of all hospitalized patients. The average length of hospitalisation for those patients was 17.6 days. The total number of hospital days for patients with ulcus cruris was 2423. The management of ulcus cruris mostly presents a great problem and involves high cost.
