Abstract
An important part of all injuries in Croatia are bone fractures, the treating of which demands a great knowledge, ability and experience of a surgeon in the use of modem methods of concervative and surgical healing, full equipment for necessary for diagnostic and healing means for methods which are in use and sterile conditions in operating rooms where only clean surgical procedures of bone tissue are performed. Regardless whether the treatment of the fracture is conservative or surgicall, it has to start in the shortest possible period and by all principles of the chosen method with constant expert supervision during the healing, timely start of physiotherapy, timely and gradual load and knowledge of all possible complications of conservative and operative treatment. The main condition for successful treating of fracture is the extremely good knowledge of the pathophysiology of bone healing.
