Abstract
Aim of this paper is to describe the development and the use of an Android application that is intended to be used by electrical engineering students. By using this application, students can set their own arbitrary graphical interface, connect to a microcontroller through Bluetooth protocol and manage the microcontroller through graphical interface. This process is explained thoroughly and through examples. This application is valuable to students because it simplifies the process of making an embedded project that communicates with a smartphone. In many electrical engineering student projects - regarding aforementioned thematic - it is useful to achieve smartphone to microcontroller communication. Unfortunately, students studying electrical engineering sometimes lack the programming experience in the smartphone software development.
