Abstract
Double J stent urethra or colloquially “JJ stent” is a thin rubber, plastic or silicone catheter that is placed between the renal pelvis and urinary bladder with a view of facilitating the flow of urine by bypassing organic or inorganic barrier at pieoloureteral segment and along the ureter to vesicoureteral mouth. Clarification of the role of biofilms within the urinary tract explains recurrent struvite and apatite urolithiasis. Production of urease and bacterial polysaccharides has been proven to be a key bacterial virulence factor involved in stone formation. In this paper the first results of the extracted encrustates chemical analysis investigation were demonstrated. The results obtained by encrustates composition analysis were not uniform.
