Abstract

A total of 140 strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated during 1998 in the Institute of Public Health in Osijek during 1988 were included in this study. Those strains were distributed in seven predominant O serotypes, i.e. Oil, 06, 03, 04, 01, 02 and 016, which accounted for 33.6, 17.1, 8.5, 8.5, 5.0, 5.0 and 5.6% of isolates, respectively. Serotypes Oil and 06 were endemic in the Osijek Clinical Hospital.
