Abstract

Data centers today play an important role making an integral part of any organization. It is necessary in everyday life for services such as the Internet. It should be emphasized that a data center needs to work without interruption and thereby the increase in the cost of energy requires data center efficiency as a strategy to reduce the costs, manage capacity and promote environmental responsibility. This paper deals with the important issues about a single data center including its greatest flaw and that is the power consumption. In addition to financial considerations and capacity, reduced energy consumption of a data center has become a priority for organizations seeking to decrease their impact on the environment. There is general
agreement that improvements in the efficiency of the data center are possible. This paper describes how to apply the best solutions in order to achieve “green” data center.
