Abstract

A group of authors describe the organisation and experiences of the medical-corps station of the 105th Brigade of the Croatian Army during "Bljesak" battle in Western Slavonia in May, 1995. The total of 439 soldiers underwent medical treatment; 13 surgical operations were performed, 12 in local and one in general intravenous anaesthesia. Water supply plants in the area where the troups and the civilians were located were disinfected. No war wound infection was reported and no fatalities in the process of triage, medical treatment and during evacuation were registered, either.
