Abstract

The paper presents a use of Ménard pressuremeter tests in fine grained soil together with geophysical seismic in situ methods for detetermination of shear vawe velocities in order to estimate in situ decay curves of shear stiffness (G-g). A simplified procedurefor transformation of measured volume changes of the test cavity into shear deformations from the results of the undrained Ménard pressuremeter test is described. Parameters ofmodeled shear stiffness curves and interpreted results of Ménard pressuremeter tests in the Zagreb preconsolidated clay are presented.
