Abstract

In 18 months of war in Croatia, 32 patients with genital injuries were treated at Osijek Clinical Hospital. More than a half of them (59.38%) had an isolated scrotal injury, 4 (12.50%) had a penile and 9 (28.13%) a combined scrotal and penile injury. Two thirds of them were caused by explosive means. Conservative surgery is the basic principle of treatment with a strong tendency toward organ conservation.
