Abstract

The author describe organization and work of the brigade medical-corps station of the 105th Brigade of Croatian Army Bjelovar, with special reference to war surgery and anesthesia in minimal conditions. Various types of wounds, especially those caused by firearms or explosives and their medical treatment in the sense of operation and anesthesia are clearly systematized. Cases of medical treatment and primary cure of craniocerebral penetrating wounds, with presentation of the case are described separately, as well as a technique and types of anesthesia applied in minimal conditions. Professional work and the first great experience of young qualified personal gave results in large number of completely cured wounded persons with a minimum percentage of invalidity, with no sases of wound infection registered. No fatalitities in the process of triage, medical treatment and during evacuation have been registered, either.
