Abstract

Zero-point clamping systems are used as simple
and effective solution for secondary processing
time reduction in production, most often in
machining, but also in measuring and EDM-ing.
This systems are a perquisite for automation and
as such they are often used in production. Despite
this fact, this area is not covered enough in
scientific papers, not even in English. Shortage of
work references, except manufacturer catalogues
in English and German, complicates a short and
concise overview, classification and working
principles of the zero-point clamping systems.
The aim of this paper is to define the difference
between similar zero-point clamping systems and
concisely describe the application and working
principles of these systems.
