Abstract

In the work the importance of the Medical college and the clinics of the Medical college is discussed. Trying to become a wordly up- to-date psychiatric clinic, the capacities and abilities of the Psychiatric clinic of the General hospital in Osijek and its tasks in Homeland war are determined. The clinic should cure the war stresses. Due to this task epidemiology, ethiology, pathogenesis and the therapy of the psychical disorders of the war stresses are profundly researched at the clinic. A special importance is given to the prevention of mental disorders in war conditions and loses and mourning in afterwar period. The author appereciates the dynamics of the learning and the work at the clinic positevely and concludes that Psychiatric clinic of the General hospital in Osijek has been developing rather intensively its main functions: research, education and healing and thus fully responded to its task.
