Abstract

Cyclic voltammograms obtained for the reduction and reoxidation
reactions of nickel cyanide complex with and without an
excess of free cyanide in solution are shown and discussed. These
reactions could best be described as an ECE mechanism, accompanied
by a fast equilibrium disproportionation reaction between
the two Ni(I) complex intermediates.
