Abstract

The organ distribution data for 90mTc-Pahida on animals and results of dynamic renal scintigraphy using this radiopharmaceutical in patients with normal renal function are presented. The results of dynamic renal scintigraphy with 90mTc-Pahida and results of dynamic renal scintigraphy with 131I-hippuran are compared. Organ distribution data show that 8% of administered dose is in kidneys 2 min. after administration and 2.2% 60 min. after administration. After one hour 72% of the injected dose is eliminated in urine. Investigations in patients show that PAHIDA has slower urinary elimination than hippuran, but better performances for visualisation of kidneys.
