Abstract

Parapharyngeal and retropharyngeal abscesses are serious complications of acute angina and pharyngitis and ean endanger life. Only surgery performed in time in order to evacuate the absceses
leads to satisfying results. The administration of antibiotics in treatment of acute processes on upper respiratory passages has decreased the frequency of such complications.
