Seventy three patients are under control: a radical nephrectomy was performed in 57 and a simple nephrectomy in 16 cases. Alive is 51 patient (out of 73), i.e. 69.8%. Out of 24 patients having been controlled for more than 5 years, 12 of them (50%) are living. The importance of venocaval invasion, cancer in a solitary kidney as well as a bilateral disease, effects and indications for transcatheter embolisation, local recurrence, prognosis and therapy of radical nephrectomy and the practical importance of adjuvant therapy have been discused on our material.
