Abstract

The study considers events which took place in Bosnia-Herzegovina between the summer of 1991 and the end of October, 1992, the period of preparations for the war and the first stage of the war in B-H. The author's intention was to present the military aspect of events in B-H, including the view on political factors which influenced the development of conflict, establish the key elements and positions of the sides in conflict at the beginning of the war, and the level of preparedness of the sides in conflict for the war. The study also considers the events which precede the beginning of military conflict, the course of military operations at the beginning of the war, and sides in conflict - the way they were formed and entered the war, and the structure of armed formations.
