Abstract

The laboratory determination of dependence between the standard testing of unreinforced concrete to frost resistance (15 cm cubes), and the resistance of similar concrete in real conditions, is described in the paper. The dependence is expressed through the number of basic equivalent real cycles, not taking into account the type of concrete, ambient humidity, etc. The author cautions that appropriate corrective parameters should be introduced if relevant differences are registered (composition, water saturation, dimensions, etc.).

Keywords

unreinforced concrete; resistance of concrete to frost action; standard testing; real temperature conditions; equivalent real cycle
