Operation Allied Force 1999. (NATO over Yugoslavia)

Abstract

The thesis is a condensed account of the research conducted on the execution of NATO's 1999. operation against Yugoslavia, called Allied Force. An analysis of data from the open media (radio, television, newspapers, internet) had been conducted earlier, and the data had been systematically processed on a daily basis. The cross sectioning of purified data on combat activities and a previous know/edge of the situation in the Army of Yugoslavia Air Force led to certain conclusions on the effectiveness of combat activities; some cognitive errors on the part of NATO were discovered, which, given other circumstances might have been vital to the perfor­mance of combat activities. The account of an analytical data processing was given in the model of a destruction of the best fighter plane in the armament of the Army of Yugoslavia Air Force -the MIG -29.
